Overview
Capital defense is the pinnacle of criminal defense work. This intensive three and a half day program features a combination of lectures and demonstrations designed to give capital defense attorneys, mitigation specialists, and other team members the practical skills necessary to represent their clients every step of the way, from appointment to plea, and if necessary, to trial. Sessions will address motion practice, mental health and trauma, mitigation investigation, technology in the courtroom and more.
This course is funded by a grant from the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals.

Who Should Attend?
With the exception of invited faculty, attendance is limited to defense attorneys and those who directly assist them in Criminal Defense Litigation.

After this date, no refunds, but substitution of attendees for this program will be permitted with prior approval. Registrants not entitled to a refund will receive the course materials.
