Overview

Capital defense is the pinnacle of criminal defense work. This intensive program features a combination of lectures and demonstrations designed to give capital defense attorneys, mitigation specialists, and other team members the practical skills necessary to represent their clients every step of the way, from appointment to plea, and if necessary, to trial. Sessions will address motion practice, technology in the courtroom and more.

For this important seminar, the faculty has requested that the seminar room be an 'electronics-free' zone. There will be time on breaks to check texts, phone messages, email, etc.

This course is funded by a grant from the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals.
