Registration open for the 10th Annual ITA-ASIL Conference in Washington, D.C.

Registration is open for the 10th ITA-ASIL Conference, presented in Washington, D.C. on the morning preceding ASIL’s Annual Meeting at the same venue, the Renaissance Washington, DC Downtown Hotel.

Conference co-chairs Sophie Nappert (Avocat, Quebec) and Professor Thomas Stipanowich (Pepperdine) have invited a number of top academics and arbitrators to present on the theme of Gateway Issues in International Arbitration, the issues which national courts are asked to address at the threshold of arbitration proceedings to ensure that trhe process is properly founded in party consent.

Professor George Bermann (Columbia) will make the keynote presentation on the theme, and will be followed by Professor Alan Scott Rau (University of Texas) and Timothy Nelson (Skadden, Arps) on commercial arbitration and Abby Cohen Smutny (White & Case) and Laurence Shore (Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher) on investment arbitration.
