Overview

As oil prices fluctuate would-be sellers and buyers in today’s market have experienced claims that they have entered into contracts based on emailed correspondence between company representatives and the counterparties they have been negotiating with.  This presentation explores the risks that these claims pose to industry participants under Texas and Oklahoma law and provides a panel discussion of best practices that in-house counsel and land professionals can use to avoid the cost and hassle that these claims create.
