Seminars in Executive Excellence

The new ILEA Seminars in Executive Excellence are designed specifically for senior and top level police leaders so that they continue to advance in their professional development. They are built upon the foundations of ILEA’s acclaimed and time-honored leadership and management programs: i. e., the School of Police Supervision (for first-line police management) and the Management College (for mid-management in police agencies).

Since this program is aimed at Police Chiefs and their next in command, we have purposely offered the topics and sessions on the basis of one day a month for three consecutive months and the opportunity to complete the Seminars by attending the annual three day Leadership Symposium. That will allow busy senior leaders the flexibility to attend our program for all the Seminars or for only those sessions that they feel are important to their professional education and/or those that will fit their busy schedules.

The topics for the Seminars have been selected carefully so that the crucial educational and training needs for contemporary chiefs and command staff can be addressed. Each year the topics will be revised and a new agenda with new topics will be offered so that continuing leadership improvement and education can be more than a catch phrase but rather can become a significant reality.

Each of these sessions is offered for TCLEOSE credit. A certificate of completion will be awarded for each session and a cumulative certificate in the Seminars in Executive Excellence will issued to those who complete the entire five week program.
