Registration Overview / Instructions

This program is funded by a grant from the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals. Attendance is limited to 60 Texas criminal defense attorneys (– registrants who have attended this program in the past may be placed on a wait list).  Courtroom attire is required. This program is suggested for lawyers with five or more years of experience.

Please note: Registrants will receive a mock case at least two weeks before program, and will be expected during the program to use it to conduct voir dire, give an opening, direct and cross examine a witness, and give a closing.

Request A Tuition Waiver: If qualify for the $100.00 Tuition rate but are unable to pay, please email cail@cailaw.org to explain and request a waiver. Include the program name in the subject line. Tuition waivers are not available for the other rate amounts.

*Tuition will be used to cover future expenses of CAIL’s Criminal Law grant programs or to provide for items the grant cannot sufficiently cover.

Confirmations will be sent to all registrants. If due, payment must accompany registration.

Cancellation Policy

Written cancellation must be received 5 business days prior to a program to receive a refund (Email: lgaspar@cailaw.org). After this date, no refunds, but substitution of attendees for this program will be permitted with prior approval. Registrants not entitled to a refund will receive the course materials. Waiver recipients must attend the program to receive the materials.
