Police Leader Development

A learning experience focusing on managing for change and the importance of using data, effective communication and problem-solving techniques to improve performance in police organizations. It is designed to provide for a stimulating treatment of current management practices using experiential exercises that focus on communication skills for managers. The first part of the course will include an assessment of management competencies and styles using MAP7. Ethics and leadership issues will be covered to assist police managers in thinking through the challenges that are prevalent in a changing environment.
