A former National Coordinator for the U.S. Department of Justice’s cybercrime and intellectual property prosecution (CHIP) program explains the challenges of investigating and prosecuting cybercrime as well as what you and your clients can do to help. As part of the presentation, you will get a behind the scenes look at an investigation into a sophisticated organized cybercrime group based in Romania that evaded international law enforcement for ten years.

  • The panel will look at the view from the industry on engaging kids online by creating safe spaces and what steps companies in this space need to do to ensure proper controls are in place.

What kind of professional liability claims can result from such incidents, and how should lawyers respond? Our distinguished panel will provide insights from the practitioner, legal malpractice carrier, and legal ethics expert perspectives. This panel will examine recent cases and emerging theories of liability; insurance coverage for these types of malpractice claims; as well as best practices for lawyers on minimizing the chance of such claims and on how best to respond if they occur.
