Overview

Inaugurating 'Perspectives and Crossroads from the East’, this leading panel features His Excellency the Former Minister of Law, Justice, Parliamentary Affairs, and Human Rights of Pakistan, propelling a novel vision of legal frameworks alongside evolving arbitration methodologies, governance in strategic sectors, and the ambitious progression within the Middle East and its broader implications for future generations, from the global East. Central to the ITA's ambition to extend its reach across the Middle East, this unique series of projects seeks to shift an entirely novel arbitration dialogue, regrouping a broad spectrum of authoritative voices, from government officials and outstanding legal practitioners to seasoned industry figures and trade analysts. This initial session is crafted to show the Middle East and the East, land of crossroads, setting a legacy of enriched dialogue and fresh vision to the law, marking a new chapter in the field of arbitration.

#YoungITATalks Online is a series of virtual events presented around the world, featuring talks, workshops or interviews that cover a wide range of subjects relating to arbitration. The #YoungITATalks series is designed for education, conversation and sharing knowledge and experiences among young practitioners.

Ibrahim Ati is dual-educated legal professional with training in both civil and common law systems, having passed the New York Bar and graduated with an LL.M. in Alternative Dispute Resolution from the University of Southern California. Part of Young California Arbitration' steering committee, he is also one of the youngest members on the NY City Bar Association's Arbitration and Professional Discipline Committee. In addition to serving as Vice-Chair in the American Bar Association, Ibrahim Ati aspires to be among the new generation of leading international arbitrators, aiming to infuse the field with fresh perspectives and innovative approaches.
