CAIL Announces New Vice President - Vickie Adams

The Center for American and International Law (CAIL), a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing justice and promoting the rule of law through the professional development of legal and law enforcement practitioners worldwide, marked a significant milestone with the announcement of Vickie Adams as its new Vice President. The news was unveiled during the recent Board of Trustees meeting by CAIL President, Thomas (T.L.) Cubbage.

Coming shortly after her recent promotion to Director of the Institute for Law and Technology (ILT) and Co-Director of the Institute for Energy Law (IEL), this appointment further cements Adams' fast-rising trajectory within CAIL and her impact on its various programs. Notably, this new role makes Adams the youngest female Vice President in the institution’s illustrious history.

"Vickie's promotion to Vice President is a testament to her steadfast dedication, innovative approach, and remarkable leadership abilities," Cubbage remarked. "As a voice of the next generation of leadership in professional development, she will play a crucial role in shaping CAIL's strategic direction and endeavors across the full range of our programs in the years to come."

Expressing her sentiments, Adams shared, "This appointment isn't just a personal milestone; it's a shining example of the possibilities we have here at CAIL. As we keep maneuvering through the intricate legal world, I'm dedicated to upholding our core values and driving our mission forward in innovative and meaningful ways.”

Adams began her journey with CAIL in 2014, scaling up the ranks due to her outstanding contributions, especially to the Institute for Energy Law, where she played an instrumental role in driving membership growth, introducing publications, and enhancing diversity in leadership. Adams earned her law degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Law and previously served as legal counsel at Bank2.
