Registration Overview

Registration includes online access to the program materials and videos, and the 2019 edition of the textbook Understanding Labor Law, 5th Edition (co-authored by Dean Emeritus Douglas E. Ray). Registrants will also receive the 2019-2022 Labor Law Video Updates.

Thank you for your interest in our Recorded Program on Labor Law and Labor Arbitration. Labor law under the National Labor Relations Act continues to be an important field. It not only governs the right to form, join and assist labor unions and labor-management relations such as collective bargaining, strikes and boycotts but it also provides employees important protections, even in non-union environments. The Recorded Program is the recorded proceedings of our 55th Annual Course on Labor Law and Labor Arbitration, offered from April 10-13 2017. Although the basic framework and major precepts of the National Labor Relations Act have been little changed over the intervening years, you should understand that some of the cases discussed in the Program and Program materials may have been modified or even overruled by now. The Course, like all CLE programs, should not be used as a basis for legal advice without doing the research yourself. The course was designed to give you the basic coverage you would have received in a law school labor law course and it still fulfills that purpose.

Texas CLE Credit

This program is approved by the State Bar of Texas for 26 hours, including 3 hours of ethics. The Center for American and International Law (CAIL) will not be filing this course with any state or country CLE/CPD organization apart from the State Bar of Texas.

! Note that only Texas CLE credit is available and that accreditation for this course will expire. You must complete the course and report your MCLE credit to the State Bar of Texas on or before 4/30/2025 to receive credit.
