ILT programs are designed for U.S. and international audiences and address both technology-related issues and intellectual property law.

Much of the Institute's work is done through its Advisory Board. The Advisory Board is comprised of representatives designated by ILT members. Members of the Institute's Advisory Board are entitled to (among other things):

• Attend tuition-free the Institute's annual Intellectual Property Law Conference;
• Attend tuition-free the Institute's annual International Law and Technology Forum;
• Discounted tuition at all other programs of the Institute; and
• Attend cost-free the annual reception and dinner and other meetings of the Advisory Board.

ILT's Advisory Board, under the leadership of the Planning Committee, organizes programs of interest to the IP lawyer community. This year's programs include:

• The 4th Annual Game::Business::Law Summit will to be held on January 25-26, 2012, co-sponsored by the Institute for Law and Technology, SMU Dedman School of Law and SMU GuildHall. Register here. • The 49th Annual Intellectual Property Law Conference was held November 7-8, 2011, at the Center for American and International Law in Plano, Texas. View the conference program.
• China IP: Now, a symposium held on October 11, 2011, at SMU Dedman School of Law in Dallas, covered IP Law challenges encountered when conducting business with or in the People's Republic of China. • The ILT Luncheon (Technology A to Z Series): "Standard Setting Organizations (SSOs) and Patents - Current Issues" was held on June 17, 2011, at Karcher Auditorium, SMU Dedman School of Law, Dallas, TX USA.
