Sponsorships and Hosting

Sponsoring with the Institute for Law Enforcement Administration (ILEA) provides numerous benefits to the sponsor and to the officers in attendance at ILEA functions. Through cash or in-kind sponsorships, you and/or your organization are demonstrating your support for the men and women who have dedicated their lives to protect the life and property of your community.  Your donation helps to defray the cost of ILEA training and thus helps to sustain an organization with a proud history of training the next generation of law enforcement leaders. Your sponsorship also signals your interest in improving the quality of leadership in the law enforcement profession. By sponsoring an ILEA event, your company also gains exposure to a critical population, the American law enforcement officer and his or her family.

In addition to the sponsorship opportunities described below, the ILEA will also entertain sponsorship offers of in-kind goods or services. As a 501 c 3 organization, the ILEA, through The Center for American and International Law, will help document your contribution for tax purposes.

Hosting a Training

Police departments seldom have enough funding for all of the training they desire. Hosting a conference or training session provides a unique method for stretching your budgeted training funds and bringing current training to your agency or the agencies of your region. The majority of the training sessions described on our web page can be brought to your jurisdiction under a hosting arrangement. The hosting agency simply completes a memorandum of understanding with the Institute for Law Enforcement Administration. The host agency agrees to provide the training site, the necessary equipment to deliver the requested training and to make a reasonable effort at marketing the training within its region. The Institute for Law Enforcement Administration will provide the instructor and the marketing effort at the national level. When the class enrollment reaches a total of 30 participants, ILEA will provide three additional seats free of charge and 25 paid enrollments will earn the host agency two free seats. Please contact the ILEA offices for more details on “Hosted Training.”
