Founded in 1986, the Institute for Transnational Arbitration
(ITA) has become an important international educational
forum in the field of transnational arbitration, counting
among its members and contributors today many of the
leading arbitrators and arbitration counsel in the world.
Through
our annual international arbitration workshops and conferences,
our Advisory
Board which meets annually during the June Workshop
in Dallas, our quarterly publication News
and Notes (with its regularly updated Scoreboard
of Adherence to Transnational Arbitration Treaties),
our DVD Library
developed through the work of our Academic
Council, and our co-sponsorship of KluwerArbitration.com
through the work of our Board
of Reporters, the ITA is making a significant
contribution to the international arbitration legal
community.

The
three primary young international arbitration organizations
will join again with ITA this year to present this special
program on the eve of the Workshop. The Roundtable will include
two substantive panels of young and not-so-young international
arbitration specialists and conclude with a networking
reception. The Roundtable was designed for young lawyers
under the age of 40 who are practicing or interested
in practicing international arbitration.

Led by Workshop co-chairs Andrea K. Bjorklund (UC Davis School of Law, Davis), Stephen Jagusch (Allen & Overy LLP, London) and Claudia T. Salomon (DLA Piper US LLP, New York), the 19th Annual ITA Workshop will be held June 19, 2008, at The Westin Galleria in Dallas, Texas.
Members of the ITA's Advisory Board will gather again later than evening for the Annual Advisory Board Dinner, and then again the next morning, June 20, for the annual open discussion Friday Forum. Mark Baker (Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P., Houston), Carole Malinvaud (Gide, Loyrette, Nouel, Paris) and José Emilio Nunes Pinto (José Emilio Nunes Pinto Advogados, São Paulo), the 4th ITA Americas Workshop will be presented this year in connection with the annual Congress of the Comitê Brasileiro de Arbitragem. Beginning with a reception on Sunday, September 21, the entire two-day program will be presented with simultaneous translation in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
