This two-day program will focus on reasons why wrongful convictions occur and what can be done to lessen the likelihood that they will happen. We’ll hear from an exoneree, we’ll focus on forensic issues like arson standards and new property room protocols, and we’ll provide a forum in which prosecutors, defense lawyers, law enforcement officials and judges can discuss and explore issues of common concern.
