Overview

This program permits us to highlight topical issues related to actual innocence, focusing on causes of and solutions to wrongful convictions.  We will discuss such subjects as eye witness id, forensic evidence, tunnel vision, bias, Brady issues, and the competency of counsel.  We will likely feature an exoneree, asking that person to tell his story as a way of personalizing the issue.  Our intent is to be relevant to prosecutors, defense lawyers, law enforcement officers and judges.

This program is funded by a grant from the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals.
