Registration Overview

Virtual Attendance Option: We are offering the option to attend via live webinar streaming on April 9, 2021. You must be available April 9^th to attend virtually. We will be using a third party platform to host this webinar/event. By registering for this event, your email address and registration information will be used by our webinar host to communicate with you about this event and other services.

This program is funded by a grant from the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals. Registration is required to attend virtually. Materials will be provided electronically and attendees will receive access details at the seminar (you will need a laptop, or another electronic device that is Wi-Fi enabled, and equipped with a PDF reader to access the materials during the seminar).

Please read before registering: Attendance is limited to criminal defense attorneys and those who directly assist them in criminal defense litigation. You may not register for this program if you are, or are working for, affiliated, clerking or interning with: a full-time law enforcement officer, a full or part-time state or federal prosecutor, or a full or part-time criminal defense attorney who is currently acting as a prosecutor or special prosecutor in a capital case (unfortunately, no exceptions).

Tuition Waiver: If you qualify for the $25.00 Tuition rate, but are unable to pay, you can Request a Tuition Waiver. Tuition waivers are not available for the other rate amount.

Confirmations will be sent to all registrants. If due, payment must accompany registration.

$25.00 I am a licensed Texas criminal defense attorney who regularly represents indigent defendants in criminal matters in Texas State courts and will attend virtually. (Texas Bar number required.) Tuition is $25.00*.
$25.00 I am a paralegal, investigator or mitigation expert for an attorney meeting the above criteria and will attend virtually. Tuition is $25.00*.
$80.00 I do NOT fall into any of the above categories, but I am a criminal defense attorney OR I directly assist criminal defense attorneys in criminal defense litigation and will attend virtually. Tuition is $80.00*.

Additional Options

$100.00 I would like to make a voluntary contribution to CAIL of $100.00. Voluntary payments will go directly to CAIL’s private fund account.
