The Center for American and International Law (CAIL) is pleased to announce that Communications Officer Karla Lárraga has been selected for the 2026–2027 cohort of D CEO's Emerging Women Leadership Network (EWLN), a leadership development program for rising executive women in the Dallas-Fort Worth region.
Now in its fourth year, EWLN brings together a curated group of professionals from across North Texas for a hybrid curriculum of in-person and virtual programming, one-on-one mentorship with hand-selected Dallas executives, peer cohort support, and exclusive access to D CEO and D Magazine's professional network. Participants are selected through a competitive application process that prioritizes leadership potential and professional growth.
CAIL President T.L. Cubbage observed, “In selecting Karla for this program, the sponsors recognize what her colleagues at CAIL already knew: she is a talented and multifaceted professional. We are delighted that she will have this opportunity to hone her skills and broaden her reach in our community.
Since joining CAIL in 2021, Lárraga has served as the organization's sole communications professional, building its communications function across seven legal institutes. Her work has centered on strengthening CAIL's institutional voice, advancing the organization's visibility in the North Texas region, and ensuring that the work of CAIL and its institutes is communicated clearly and consistently to legal, law enforcement, and international audiences.
Lárraga brings 17 years of professional experience in institutional communications and international sports media operations. She is a Baylor University alumna, bilingual in English and Spanish, a former member of the Forbes Communications Council, and a Big Sister with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America since 2014. She holds membership in PRSA Dallas.
