Looking Ahead: CAIL’s Work in 2026

Dear Friends of The Center for American and International Law,

As we begin 2026, we wish our friends, faculty, members, and supporters a very happy new year. We are grateful for the community that makes The Center for American and International Law’s work possible and for the shared commitment to justice that connects us.

In 2026, CAIL will bring together legal and law enforcement professionals across Texas, the United States, and internationally through a robust slate of programs. From leadership and ethics training to cutting-edge discussions on artificial intelligence, evolving energy demands and conflicts, trends in transnational disputes and arbitration, advocacy skills, jury selection, and forensic sciences, our programming equips those who serve on the front lines of justice with the tools to lead with integrity, accountability, and confidence.

Highlights in the months ahead include servant and executive leadership programs, actual innocence and prosecutorial ethics initiatives, advanced crisis-communication training, major energy law and arbitration conferences, and the 61st Annual Academy of American & International Law—one of our flagship international programs.

Our founder, Robert Storey, observed that “when justice is administered by untrained men with almost unlimited discretionary powers, you no longer have the rule of law.” Your support helps ensure that informed counsel, ethical leadership, and sound judgment are reinforced among those who play key roles in the pursuit of justice.

Thank you for being part of this mission. Together, we can make 2026 a year of meaningful impact.

Best,

Thomas (T.L.) Cubbage
