Special Alumni Reunion in Rome

Held with the EYBA Spring Conference

Overview

This event is a unique gathering for alumni of the Academy of American and International Law. A portion of the event is being held with the Spring Conference of the European Young Bar Association (EYBA). Given our participation in the EYBA Conference, our reunion is primarily intended for younger alumni (under 40 years of age) but all alumni are welcome to our non-EYBA joint events. In particular, we hope alumni from all academies will attend the hosted receptions.

Registration/Cost

Our goal is to keep the cost as low as possible so that it is affordable for our younger alumni to participate. We are not charging a registration fee for the two hosted receptions or the EYBA’s Friday substantive programming (for those eligible).

If you plan to attend an optional dinner or the organized group sightseeing activity, you will be required to pay your portion of the cost. The exact amount will be determined once we know our number of attendees and the cost.

If you would like to participate in more activities of the EYBA Spring Conference, you may register directly with the EYBA. Please note that most of the EYBA’s events conflict with our events, but you may enjoy attending their formal gala on Saturday evening. The EYBA offers an “Only Saturday” ticket, which includes the Gala.

Hotel

We are not arranging for a hotel for this event given that there are many hotels in Rome and our alumni prefer different price ranges. Many chain hotel rates are more expensive given the jubilee, but we found reasonable rates for non-chain hotels using platforms such as booking.com. We encourage you to search for good deals.

Location of events vary, but both law firm receptions are located in the Barberini area. The EYBA substantive programming is at the Supreme Court of Cassation closer to the Vatican.
