This year’s Academy of American and International Law — 54 young lawyers from around the world — have been busy with daily classes and visits throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
They’ve been learning about the U.S. legal system and building their skills in negotiation, legal writing, transacting international business and conducting litigation in U.S. courts.
The group has also visited top Dallas law firms, the Southern Methodist University and Texas A&M law schools, and they watched a trial in a Collin County courtroom.
Here, two Academy participants, Vickie Tsirigkaki from Greece and Julio Robledo from Spain share some of the highlights of their experience so far.
