Overview

Presented by ITA Americas Initiative

Co-sponsored by FERRERE URUGUAY

The program is one of the two events on construction arbitration to be held in Montevideo and Buenos Aires during 2023. This event will be centered in bridging the gap between the common and civil law in specific issues related to construction projects, including concurrent delay, good faith, LDs and penalties. Speakers will address the purpose and rationale of traditional clauses included in construction contracts and on the issues that may arise when applied by arbitrators with a civil law background or when contrasted with Civil Codes generally applicable in the region. The second event of the series, to be held in Buenos Aires in the second half of 2023, will be centered in damages calculation and delay analysis.

The mission of the Americas Initiative is to enrich knowledge, debate, and personal relationships within the international arbitration community in the Americas. Americas Initiative has created a network of Country Delegates to represent it in different American countries.

Thanks to the generosity of our sponsor, this event is tuition-free. Please register in advance to help us have an accurate headcount. Please only register if you intend to attend in person.
