Overview

Presented by Young ITA and ICC YAAF

YITA is delighted to join ICC YAAF as part of the Nairobi Arbitration Week Young Practitioners Event that will be hosted by the Nairobi Center of International Arbitration. The event considers the next generation of dispute resolvers in celebration of the 100 Years of the ICC International Court of Arbitration.

In the first panel, the speakers will map out the past, present and future of international arbitration in the context of the ICC International Court of Arbitration. In this interactive discussion, participants will be invited to share their thoughts on their experiences with international arbitration and ADR and through the panel conversations, encouraged to evaluate how they can, in their unique individual capacities, contribute to shaping the future of international arbitration and ADR for the Next Generation and the ICC International Court of Arbitration’s next 100 years.

The second panel will focus on the built environment; an industry predicted to change in the future as a result of various factors including: the rise in AI and 3D printing in construction; innovative techniques to digitalisation; collaborating contracting; and the NetZero agenda for construction projects among others. Through industry-specific presentations, future construction dispute resolvers and users will be invited to appreciate where the developments in this sector are headed and the demands that will be required of them in the future. Further, participants will gain an insight into the use of dispute boards and adjudication mechanisms.
