Overview
Presented by Young ITA
Co-Hosted by Energy Disputes Arbitration Center (EDAC) and Istanbul Arbitration Week
In today’s fast-paced legal and regulatory environments, the fear of making decisions that might later be challenged or scrutinized has given rise to what is often termed "due process paranoia." This phenomenon reflects the growing tendency of arbirators to excessively focus on procedure, sometimes to the detriment of efficiency and timely outcomes. This event explores the roots of due process paranoia, its impacts on decision-making processes, and offers strategies to strike a balance between adhering to legal safeguards and ensuring effective, timely resolutions. Through real-world examples and expert insights, participants will learn how to navigate the fine line between thoroughness and over-caution.
#YoungITATalks is a series of local events presented around the world, featuring talks, workshops or interviews that cover a wide range of subjects relating to arbitration. The #YoungITATalks series is designed for education, conversation and sharing knowledge and experiences among young practitioners.
