Overview
Presented by ITA
Hosted by DLA Piper
The ITA Roundtable on Costs and Security for Costs in Investment Arbitration will bring together leading experts from government, practice, and academia to discuss the draft provisions before UNCITRAL Working Group III on cost allocation and security for costs in investor–State dispute settlement. The session will explore the rationale and design of the proposed reforms, aimed at enhancing predictability and access to justice while balancing the need to deter frivolous claims against the imperative to ensure access for impecunious parties. The discussion will focus on the practical implications of the draft framework -particularly when and how security for costs may be ordered -and its potential to contribute to a more coherent and equitable ISDS cost regime.
The event is free of charge, but registration is required as seats are limited.
