Overview

A short CLE program and reception, jointly presented by the Institute for Energy Law Oil & Gas Practice Committee and the Dallas Bar Association Energy Section.

An expert panel will review anticipated changes to the environmental regulation of the oil and gas industry which are being pushed by environmental advocacy groups. In addition to just the regulations aimed specifically at E&P and midstream operations, the oil and gas sector could be substantially affected by several broader regulatory initiatives that the EPA has said it will finalize before the end of 2016. The panel will consider whether these potential regulations, how they tie into the overall climate change agenda of the Obama administration, how burdensome the regulations could be in reality, and what difference the November 4 election results will make.

The panel discussion will be followed by a drinks reception. Registration is free to all attendees.

Panelists:

  • Andrew Bremner - Newfield Exploration
  • Michael R. Goldman - Guida, Slavich & Flores, P.C.
  • Jeffrey R. Holmstead - Bracewell & Giuliani
  • Dan Isenhower - Devon Energy Corporation
