Greg Bean was appointed as the Executive Director of Gutierrez Energy Management Institute at the Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston in January 2018. He has a passion for education and its impact on students and economic development in Houston. Greg has over thirty years of global oil and gas management consulting experience in the upstream, downstream, midstream and oil field service sectors, including major corporate, business unit and capital investment strategy assignments and organization-restructuring efforts. Prior to his consulting career, he spent five years with ExxonMobil in refining and supply and trading functions.

George Fibbe
Baker Botts L.L.P.

George Fibbe is a partner in the Houston office of Baker Botts L.L.P., representing clients in complex commercial disputes and regulatory matters. His practice focuses on high-stakes matters across the energy sector, including upstream and midstream oil and gas, LNG, renewables, nuclear and the power industry. Before joining Baker Botts, Mr. Fibbe served as Deputy General Counsel for Litigation, Regulation & Enforcement for the U.S. Department of Energy, where he oversaw a wide range of legal matters arising from the Department's missions of advancing energy security, promoting scientific innovation, ensuring security and environmental cleanup of the nation's nuclear weapons complex, and other energy-related operations. In that role, he worked closely with the Department of Justice, the Office of Management & Budget's Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA), and other federal agencies.

Jared W. Johnson
Senior Counsel, Downstream, Chemicals & Midstream Law

Jared Johnson is Senior Counsel, Downstream, Chemicals & Midstream Law at Chevron. He primarily supports Chevron’s electric power business within the Chevron Pipeline & Power business unit, advising on power transactions, regulatory and compliance matters related to Chevron’s fleet of U.S. power generation assets (cogeneration and renewables) as well as Chevron’s retail purchases for its industrial load. Prior to joining Chevron in 2014, he was a member of the Energy Regulatory and Markets practice group at Latham & Watkins LLP, representing clients in regulatory proceedings before the FERC and several state utility commissions, as well as in project development and financing transactions. He is a graduate of Georgetown Law.

Stephany LeGrand
General Counsel

Stephany LeGrand became General Counsel of ConnectGEN LLC in April 2020. Prior to beginning her current position, Stephany was Legal Counsel – New Energies at Shell Oil Company, where she served as the global legal focal point for onshore renewable power, including solar, storage and wind. Stephany previously practiced at Eversheds Sutherland where she counseled developers, energy providers, and investors in mergers and acquisitions, project development, structured transactions, and joint ventures.
