Overview

With more than two decades of international arbitration and litigation experience, Dr. Willheim shares his unique perspectives on U.S. and global energy markets, including the effects of recent international regulations and conflicts.  

Dr. Willheim has worked at Jones Day’s Frankfurt, London, and Paris offices, and speaks German, English, and French.  In addition to his civil practice, Dr. Willheim has served the international community as an ad hoc professor, a guest lecturer, an arbitrator, a mediator, and an independent expert, all of which contribute to his international acumen.

Johannes Willheim has handled large-scale and high-stakes international arbitration and complex litigation for more than two decades. His vast experience includes antitrust, corporate and post-transaction, energy, engineering and construction (EPC and EPCM), distribution, insurance, IP, and regulatory disputes. He also has experience arbitrating and litigating cases involving EU competition law, distribution, and IP (including patent) issues both on the enforcement and defense sides. He is currently handling major gas price revision disputes throughout Europe for one of the world's leading producers of natural gas. Johannes works out of the Firm's Frankfurt, London, and Paris offices.
