Overview
Artificial intelligence has a rich history in the energy industry. Power production and oil & gas both were earlier adopters of AI technology. As both power production and O&G production continue to evolve, opportunities for implementing AI-based solutions are growing at an impressive pace. In this presentation, we examine some of the current AI technology application trends and the litigation risks associated with those applications.

John Peiserich is a Senior Vice President in J.S. Held’s Environmental, Health & Safety - Risk & Compliance group. With over 30 years of experience, John provides consulting and expert services for heavy industry and law firms throughout the country with a focus on Oil & Gas, Energy, and Public Utilities. He has extensive experience evaluating risk associated with potential and ongoing compliance obligations, developing strategies around those obligations, and working to implement a client-focused compliance strategy. Mr. Peiserich has appointments as an Independent Monitor through EPA’s Suspension and Debarment Program. John routinely supports clients in a forward-facing role for rulemaking and legislative issues involving energy, environmental, Oil & Gas, and related issues.

MCLE Credit
Texas Course Number 174203090. This course has been approved for Minimum Continuing Legal Education credit by the State Bar of Texas Committee on MCLE in the amount of 1.0 credit hours, of which no credit hours will apply to ethics/professional responsibility credit.
This online program has not been approved for MCLE credit in any other jurisdictions. If requested by attendees, CAIL will request accreditation in California, Louisiana, New Mexico, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
