Overview

Over the past 20 years, there have been over 37 bankruptcy filings by entities leasing oil and gas assets located on the Outer Continental Shelf. Some of those bankruptcies have involved billions of dollars in decommissioning liabilities. During this webinar, panelists will provide their perspectives on the basics of the US bankruptcy process, key observations, and how oil and gas wells, pipelines, and facilities are typically managed, including maintenance and abandonment.
