Jeffrey Oliver advises clients on all aspects of antitrust law, with an emphasis on U.S. and international merger reviews. Mr. Oliver has obtained antitrust clearance for transactions in a wide variety of industries and jurisdictions, with significant experience in healthcare, oil and gas, and chemicals. Other experience includes heavy industry, utilities, media, transportation and trade associations. His practice routinely involves substantive advocacy in the U.S., China, Germany, Brazil, Australia, before the E.C. and in other jurisdictions. Mr. Oliver was formerly a staff attorney in the FTC’s oil & gas division.

Ruediger Schuett is Lead Counsel, Global Competition Law & Compliance at LyondellBasell Industries, where he is managing all antitrust matters globally that affect the company, including antitrust investigations, merger control proceedings, antitrust compliance advice and training, and antitrust litigation. Prior to joining LyondellBasell, Ruediger worked at the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, where he was a trial attorney in the Telecom & Media Section and counsel in the International Section. During that time he worked on cases such as Comcast/Time Warner Cable and AT&T/Time Warner. Prior to that, Ruediger was in private practice at WilmerHale, where he was part of the firm’s Antitrust & Regulatory group and worked in the firm’s offices in Washington, DC and Berlin, Germany.

MCLE Credit

Texas Course Number 174287228. This course has been approved for Minimum Continuing Legal Education credit by the State Bar of Texas Committee on MCLE in the amount of 0.75 credit hours, of which no credit hours will apply to ethics/professional responsibility credit.
