The full program for the IEL’s first Texas Mineral Title Course is now available, and online registration is open. The course will take place in Houston’s JW Marriott Hotel on Thursday and Friday, May 2 and 3, 2013. Led by two of Texas’s top title lawyers, Kerry Kilburn (Kilburn Law Firm) and George Snell (Steptoe & Johnson), the course is intended for lawyers and landmen with some experience of title work, and will also be of interest both to newcomers to this area of law and to advanced practitioners.
All aspects of mineral title work in Texas will be covered by the exceptionally experienced faculty, including title to minerals, aspects of real property law, title standards, conveyancing, format of the title opinion, aspects of oil and gas law, regulatory issues, and production issues.
