The Institute for Energy Law (IEL) promotes an annual writing prize for JD students, and judging for the 2014 prize is now complete. The IEL is pleased to announce that the winner of the competition, and the IEL’s second Hartrick Scholar, will be Keith Richard, a third year student at the New England School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts, for his paper entitled Renewable Portfolio Standards Among the New England States: How About Some Good Old-Fashioned Yankee Regionalism?
As well as a cash prize of $2,500, Keith will receive expenses paid trips to Houston for the IEL's 65th Annual Oil and Gas Law Conference on February 19 and 20, and to Baton Rouge for the IEL’s Hartrick Symposium: Career Paths for Young Attorneys in the Energy Sector on April 4 and 5.
