Overview

This is the fourth of four seminars will focus on four of the most urgent and thorny elements of the Draft Code of Conduct for Adjudicators in Investor-State Dispute Settlement (ISDS), which was recently published by ICSID and UNCITRAL:

In each seminar, experts from a variety of backgrounds will discuss the proposed text, the possible options included in the draft Code’s bracketed text, different policies options as well as the systemic implications that each provisions may have in the effort of ISDS reform.

These webinars are presented for free as a public service on these important issues of international arbitration practice.

PART FOUR: The Questions of Implementation and Enforcement of the Draft Code

The final webinar of the series will explore the fundamental issue of how to implement and enforce the Code when the time comes to approve the text. Experts will present and discuss the proposal included in the Draft Code and build on them. What enforcement mechanisms exist? And how can the code be implemented effectively?
