ITA Announces New Young ITA Leadership Opportunities

Young ITA is an active and engaged global community of young arbitration practitioners. Counting over 3,400 members in over 100 countries, Young ITA has connected its membership through #YoungITATalks events, the Young ITA Global Forum, and its annual Writing Competition and Mentorship Program. The progress of Young ITA, and the excellent quality of these activities, has been due to the energy and commitment of its leadership.

A new leadership term of Young ITA will begin this June. Applications are now open for the following leadership positions, for the term of 2024-2026. Most Chairs will serve as Co-Chairs under a staggered term system.

External Communications Chair, who will:

  1. Coordinate content for the Young ITA LinkedIn Page and other external publications, and
  2. Serve as Young ITA Liaison to ITA’s Communication Committee.


Internal Communications Chair
, who will:

  1. Identify and oversee conference reporters for all Young ITA events,
  2. Assist the Young ITA Chair and Vice-Chair with internal communications to Young ITA Leadership, and
  3. Coordinate and edit content for the Young ITA Newsletter.


Programming Chair
, who will:

  1. Coordinate programming of #YoungITATalks and other Young ITA events, in conjunction with the Regional Chairs,
  2. Oversee the application of Young ITA’s event guidelines and evaluate requests for programming partnerships with other organizations, and
  3. Organize the annual Young ITA Global Forum.


Thought Leadership Chair
, who will:

  1. Lead the Young ITA Writing Competition and Award review and selection process,
  2. Review and edit Young ITA contributions to publications, including ITA’s e-journal ITA in Review, Kluwer Arbitration Blog, and the Global Arbitration Review (GAR),
  3. Identify topics to be addressed at Young ITA events and in the Young ITA LinkedIn Group/Forum.


Mentorship Program Chair
, who will:

  1. Identify and select mentors, mentees and facilitators,
  2. Actively guide and monitor the Mentorship Groups’ activities throughout the Program, and
  3. Coordinate the annual Young ITA Mentorship Program.


Regional Chairs
– A co-chair will be selected for each of the following regions: North America, South America (Spanish-speaking jurisdictions), Brazil, Mexico and Central America, United Kingdom, Western Europe, Central and Eastern Europe, Africa, India, Asia, and Oceania – who will:

  1. Serve as the Young ITA regional ambassador,
  2. Prepare (or coordinate the preparation of) regional contributions to ITA and Young ITA publications and content, and
  3. Organize #YoungITATalks events in the region.
