40 Law Enforcement Officers from 27 Agencies Celebrate Graduation from 145th School of Police Supervision

In October, The Center for American and International Law’s (CAIL) Institute for Law Enforcement Administration (ILEA) hosted its 145th School of Police Supervision, bringing together 40 law enforcement officers from 27 Texas agencies. Held at CAIL’s education center in Plano, TX, this intensive month-long program honed essential leadership skills for first-line supervisors and middle managers, preparing them for the complex transition from street policing to supervisory roles. “I really enjoyed the academy and feel like I gained valuable knowledge that will assist me in my role as a sergeant,” shared one participant.

ILEA’s curriculum combines practical training with a strong emphasis on ethics and social responsibility. Participants also toured the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum to explore the role of law enforcement during the Holocaust, gaining a broader perspective on the profession’s ethical dimensions. Another graduate noted, “The course was very well organized. Instructors were great. Topics covered were relevant and necessary for my duties as a Sergeant.

The program concluded with a Graduation Ceremony on October 25th, where more than two hundred family members, friends, and colleagues gathered to celebrate. The Lewisville Police Department Honor Guard presented the colors, and Lewisville Police Chief Brook Rollins delivered an inspiring address.
